So, I’m sort of on an Indie film kick, As of now, a Black Indie film kick. I just watched Newlyweeds, directed by Shaka King. The movie was fantastic, but this Goddess stole the show for me. Trae Harris is one of the leads, and as an actress, I could read all of her emotions on her face. Watching her eyes widen, her lips curl, the large, sweet, beautiful smiles she seemed to share with just me, needless to say, I was mesmerized.
I realized something. They’re not unfriendly they’re just sick and tired of the white people they go to school with and their shit.
Yeah hold up a second…. I wanna see a movie about these people.
Lmaoo. There’s literally ONE table of all African/African American girls (couple of Filipino and islander people) and we’re either laughing the loudest or mugging the hardest. No in between. Then we have stories of all the stupid shit we went through that day.
